Traffic monitoring website Inrix said North Hill (B3250) has been closed \"in both directions\" since 7.32pm on Tuesday due to a \"police incident\". The road is closed between North Road East and Deptford Place.

Carl Eve, who is reporting from the scene, said he saw five police cars at around 8.30pm.

A witness told Plymouth Live they had seen \"lots of police cars\" and an ambulance, and claimed an individual was making violent threats in the street.
