Tottenham’s search for another attacking option appears to have shifted toward a London rival after other targets became less attainable. The proposed move is presented as a loan rather than a permanent transfer, leaving the clubs to settle the terms in a compressed final stretch of the window.

One report says Spurs are “closing in on the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk on loan” after their interest in Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye was complicated by Manchester City’s involvement.¹ It adds that Mudryk has told Chelsea he wants the move, has agreed to join Tottenham, and that club-to-club discussions are at an advanced stage.¹

The same account frames Mudryk as an attractive option for Roberto De Zerbi because the pair worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk. It also notes a practical obstacle: Tottenham are discussing a loan for Adarabioyo too, but Premier League rules would allow only one loan signing from Chelsea.¹

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has not publicly committed to Mudryk’s departure. Asked about the player’s future, he said: “We will see, we still have time to decide, and we don't have to rush on many decisions.”¹ That leaves the reports’ picture of a player-led push for a switch set against Chelsea’s stated caution.

A separate live transfer report likewise lists Tottenham as working on moves for both Mudryk and Adarabioyo, reinforcing that the two negotiations are linked rather than presenting either as completed.² Whether Spurs prioritise attacking depth or defensive cover may therefore decide the outcome.
