Huge BBC Star Who Was Axed From Hit Show Dies

Bafta-winning BBC star Chris Langham has sadly died at the age of 77. His obituary in The Times states that he died on June 24, 2026 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. The writer, actor and comedian was best known for playing the cabinet minister Hugh Abbott in the hit BBC sitcom, The Thick Of It, alongside Peter Capaldi, Chris Addison and Rebecca Front. His other successes include his roles in Not the Nine O'Clock News, Help, and Kiss Me Kate.
